Stour Logistics Group's warehouse management system depends on real-time scanning data, but Wi-Fi dead spots and a shared residential-grade broadband connection meant handheld scanners regularly dropped offline. As the business opened two additional warehouses, the risk of stock inaccuracies and delayed dispatches grew with every new site.
The team needed dependable, site-wide connectivity that could be replicated quickly as the business kept expanding.
39D carried out full site surveys across all three warehouses and installed dedicated business leased lines to guarantee bandwidth independent of any other tenant. We designed and installed managed Wi-Fi networks engineered for full racking-to-roof coverage, and completed structured cabling and network installations to tie scanners, office systems and CCTV onto a single, resilient network.
All three warehouses now run on guaranteed-bandwidth connections with full Wi-Fi coverage, and handheld scanners no longer drop off the network mid-pick. Stock accuracy has improved and the operations team can trust the data in their warehouse management system in real time.
39D's site-survey and installation process is now the standard template Stour Logistics uses for every new warehouse it opens.
