🌟 About the Role

As a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer at 39D, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our clients’ IT environments run smoothly. You’ll handle escalations from our 1st line support team, diagnose and resolve technical issues, assist with infrastructure projects, and provide expert guidance to end users.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide range of systems and develop your skills within a fast-paced, supportive MSP environment.


🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues (hardware, software, networking, cloud services)

  • Escalation point for 1st line support tickets

  • Administer Office 365, Active Directory, Azure, and other key platforms

  • Configure routers, firewalls, switches, and endpoint devices

  • Deploy and support server infrastructure and cloud migrations

  • Maintain documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases

  • Participate in project rollouts, upgrades, and client onboarding


🧠 What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 2nd line support role (ideally within an MSP)

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory & basic PowerShell

  • Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, firewalls)

  • Familiarity with remote monitoring tools and ticketing systems

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

  • Full UK driving licence preferred (occasional site visits)

📍 Location

This role is hybrid, with our main office based in Harlow, Essex. You’ll have the flexibility to work from home as well as attend client sites or meetings when required.
